Making the Blog Easier to Update
At first, creating a blog post means editing the files directly. That works, and for a developer it isn’t an especially difficult process. But I want the everyday task of writing a post to feel separate from changing the website itself.
So I build a Blog Post Manager.
The useful part is the small workflow
The manager gives me a place to create, edit, and delete posts through a simple interface. It handles the information that goes with a post, like its title, date, and description, along with the writing itself.
I can launch the app locally on my Fedora computer, which keeps it close to the way I already work. I don’t need to set up a separate online service just to manage my own blog.
A tool for one real need
This isn’t a large publishing platform. It is a small app for a site I control, built around the task I keep repeating.
The manager already makes that task easier. It also gets me thinking about other parts of the site that might benefit from their own editing tools.
