The Third Version Had to Do More
As I work on the third major version of RitesDev, I know the site needs to do more than introduce me.
It needed to explain the business, show the work, give people a way to contact me, and make the blog feel connected to the rest of the project. That is a lot more than putting a name and a few links on a homepage.
Being my own client is unusual
I have to make the decisions about what the site should look like and what it should say. There isn’t a separate client handing me a finished list of requirements.
That freedom is nice, but it also means I can keep changing direction. The earlier versions help me learn what I don’t want. Now I make each choice serve a clear purpose.
Build toward something real
The goal isn’t to add every feature I can think of. I want a website that helps someone understand RitesDev and take a next step.
I’m still working through the details, but the site is starting to feel less like a test project and more like the foundation for an actual business.
