Reworking the Blog Home Page
Even after the blog works, I keep looking at its home page and thinking about how to make it easier to use.
I want the latest posts to have a clear place, while still leaving room for information about the site and a few projects. That means revisiting the layout instead of adding another block and hoping everything fits.
The layout has to work at different sizes
On a wide screen, the information cards and the middle column can sit beside each other. On a phone, that same arrangement doesn’t make sense, so I make the cards sections people can open and close.
I also work on how scrolling behaves. The post and project list should be comfortable to browse without making the whole page feel like it is fighting the reader.
Small interactions need care
The home page now has more than links and text. It has responsive sections, focus behavior, and gentle reveal effects for selected elements.
I want those details to stay out of the way. The content should still be readable and usable when someone isn’t using a mouse or when motion is reduced.
There’s more I can tune, but the page feels closer to the experience I had in mind.
