About Me
Developer by Day, Technical Mentor by __.
Hello! I'm RitesDev (Matt on my personal blog), a freelance full-stack developer and computer science educator based in United States (Remote Available Worldwide).
My passion lies at the intersection of building clean, efficient web software and demystifying complex technical concepts for developers learning the trade.
In my development work, I focus heavily on the modern web stack, building websites fast with Astro and a privately owned Ecosystem.
When teaching, I believe in practical, hands-on learning rather than rote memorization. I help students build real projects, master debugging techniques, and develop engineering intuition that serves them throughout their careers.

My Philosophy
Software Engineering Philosophy
Code should be simple, explicit, and maintainable. I prioritize fast user experience, clean architecture, and minimal external dependencies whenever possible. A well-built application is easy to extend and a pleasure to read.
Technical Teaching Philosophy
Nobody learns programming solely by watching tutorials. Learning happens when you build, get stuck, and systematically debug. My job as a mentor is to provide the guardrails, explain the why behind concepts, and build student confidence.
